Irene P. Contino Kosyla

She was born August 23, 1945 to Adam and Stella Zaleski. She was the eldest of 6 children, John and Peter (and wife, Liz). She was predeceased in death by her beloved son, John Contino, Jr. and her brother, Jimmy Zaleski.

Irene is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Kosyla and her devoted daughter, Sheri Umberger (and her husband, Ron). She will be missed by her wonderful grandsons, Adam and RJ Umberger and her precious great grandchildren, AJ, Maverick (Bean) and Marlie along with beloved nieces and nephews.

Irene was a registered nurse and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. She held a masters degree in Healthcare Administration. Her career spanned over 50 years, most of that time spent as a director of nurses and as nursing home administrator in the Northeast Philadelphia area. Irene loved her family, the sun, the casino, jewelry and candy. Irene survived both cancer and a kidney transplant in 2005.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini, located at 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA, 19030, on December 3, 2025, starting at 9:30 am.
