Jim was born in Trenton, NJ to the late James & Alice Chamberlain. Jim joined the Navy at the age of 17 and retired from Kvaerner Shipyard. Jim enjoyed Reading, Golfing, Fishing and spending time with his kids. He always loved watching the Phillies & EAGLES and was an avid player of Candy Crush.
He will be sadly missed by his wife & companion of 40 years, Sandy Burchill. He was the proud father of James & Brandon (Hayley) Chamberlain and the daughter he never had and adored Gina Gioffre. He was the loving brother of Trudy, Michelle Stone, Kim, Shawn (Andrea), Freddy (Ivete), Richard & Kelly Chamberlain. Uncle Jimmy to many nieces, nephews & cousins. Preceded in death by the late Adele Montgomery, Clifford and Cookie Chamberlain.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jim’s Life Celebration on December 18th, 2025 from 9:30am to 11:00am at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home 2200 Trenton Rd. Levittown PA. His memorial service will take place at 11:00am. Full Military Honors & Interment will immediately follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown PA.
In lieu of flower, donations in memory of Jim may be made in support of the Sidney Kimmel at Jefferson.
