I'm just finding out about Jim's passing. The last time we spoke on email was in Sept 2024. He didn't elaborate about what was going on but said he was home from the hospital.  He was a smart and funny guy.  Kept me laughing even during my sad times. We lost touch for a little bit. I'm just so sorry and sad I will not get to read his humorous emails.

I never imagined I would have to say adios to you. I miss you terribly and I would like to go back to find your embrace again and tell you once again how important you were to me.

My deepest condolences to the entire James Northrup family. You will always be in my memories.

So happy to have known and worked with Jim. He was such a great guy. He was always willing to help and made the office fun. Jim had such a Huge Heart and always made you laugh. I also had the pleasure of working with his Mother Martha and she was a Beautiful Soul as well. Very Special people that make me smile when I think of them.

He was a pleasant co-worker, always professional and conscientious.

Jim was a great friend.I have great memories of going to Harold's new york deli with him and other work friends.He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Jim's friends and family

It is truly remarkable how spending time with colleagues in a workplace setting can foster meaningful connections. We begin to anticipate their presence and look forward to their stories. 

While I may not have known James on a deeply personal level, I came to appreciate him as a reliable and trustworthy individual who consistently went out of his way to help others. 

James’ wonderful ability to bring a smile to those around him through his humor and knowledge was truly remarkable.  

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, hoping they find comfort in the cherished memories of James - and the strength to move forward during this challenging time.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I knew Jim from working at the CAO. He was always so nice and friendly. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

I am sorry for the loss.  Jim was a great guy, and I will always remember him that way.  I only knew him through work, but he was the kinda guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

I'm so sorry to hear this...Jim was one of the best!! I spoke to him president's day and thought they sent him home ...sleep well old friend...the angels have you now

Jim took me and my mom to our first live firework show over 10 years ago with Melissa. The excitement he built up on my “too cool for anything” teenage self is a memory I will never forget. I have nothing, but amazing and hilarious memories with Jim that I will cherish for days to come.

I am so sorry for your loss. When I worked at the CAO Jim was a very helpful person. I’m sure many of his former colleagues will have nothing but wonderful memories of him. I’m sure he will be greatly missed.
