Joanne Trotter

Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Anne (Monaghan) and Thomas Whelan, Mrs. Trotter was a long time resident Lower Bucks County, prior to moving to New Jersey 13years ago. She was one of the first students to attend Saint Michael the Archangel School in Levittown. She was a graduate of the former Bishop Egan High School, where she was the first female Drum Majorette.

Mrs. Trotter achieved both her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Business from Rider College.

She spent her entire professional career at Gwynedd Mercy College, starting as an Associate Professor and retiring as the Dean of the School of Business and Computer Science. While at Gwynedd Mercy College, she received the Lindback Award and was named Professor Emeritus. Mrs. Trotter loved teaching and interacting with students, some who remain in touch.

Beloved wife of 54 years to Francis Trotter, Mrs. Trotter is the loving mother of Brian and Jill Trotter; and the devoted MomMom to Ian, Zoe and Cayden Trotter.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
