

John Emery FranciscoJohn Emery Francisco of Levittown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018 less than a year after being diagnosed with ALS. He fought this brutal disease with dignity and conviction.John is predeceased by his daughter, Christina Marie and his father, Emery Francisco Jr.He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lisa (Cechak) Francisco and his best friend, son Steven and his wife, Nicole and two beautiful granddaughters, Wren and Arden, who he adored.John is also survived by his mother, Rose Kenny; brothers, Alan (Pamela Lindquist) and Bill Francisco (Teresa); sisters-in-law, Anita Somplasky (John), Andrea Leahy (Joe); brothers-in-law, Christopher Cechak (Elaine), Jan Cechak (Debra), Eric Cechak (Nancy), and Richard Cechak (Carrie). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and lifelong friend, Bob MacMath.Many thanks to his amazing and dedicated caregiver, Dyane Roemer.John was a superb auto technician and diagnostician. John was a proud graduate of Bucks County Tech School and Neshaminy High School. He worked at Thompson Motor Service for over 30 years. He could fix anything. He was a member of BARC Parents Guild, South Jersey Enduro Club, AMA, and North Philadelphia Hunt Club.Those who knew John, knew he had many hobbies. He loved any kind of motorcycle, street and dirt. He enjoyed riding many enduros and hare scrambles with his son, Steven, on the weekends. He was an avid F1 race fan. He loved to fish, kayak, surf, and RV. He coached Steven's soccer and baseball teams and never missed his lacrosse games.Wherever John went, there was always a funny story. We ask that you bring one of these stories with you to celebrate his life.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am.
