John H. KohlerJohn H. Kohler died suddenly on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Aria Health Bucks Campus in Langhorne. He was 70 years old.Born in Bristol, Mr. Kohler has been a resident of Levittown for 45 years. He was a graduate of Neshaminy High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills.Mr. Kohler was employed with Verizon as a service technician for 32 years until retiring in 1994. He was currently a bus driver for the Pennsbury School District.He proudly served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the USS Long Beach.Mr. Kohler was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge 25 in Bristol and was a Worthy Patron of the Morning Star 395 Order of the Eastern Star also in Bristol. He was also a member of the William Penn Fire Company in his earlier years.Beloved husband of 47 years to Joycelyn (McClure), Mr. Kohler was the loving father of Jennifer Bortz (Andrew) and the dedicated Pop Pop to Darby Richelle and Gregg Riley. He was the brother of Robert (Judy), Mary Harris (James), Dorothy Bilger (Edward), Frederick Kohler (Mary), Barbara Santucci (Steven) and Richard (Suzanne). He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his uncle, Frederick Ridge..Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, from 10:30 until 12:00 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon. A Masonic Service will be held on Thursday, at 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
