

John R. "Jack" Minnig, Sr., of Levittown died on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Langhorne Gardens Nursing Home. He was 80. Born and raised in Branchdale, PA, Mr. Minnig has been a resident of Levittown for the past 50 years. He was employed with Pathmark at both the Bristol and Fairless Hills locations for many years until retiring in 1992. Mr. Minnig was an Air Force veteran of Korea. He will be remembered as a loving and caring man who was dedicated to his family. Mr. Minnig was the beloved husband of the late Mary G. Minnig. He was the loving father of Mary Beth Minnig, Debbie and Dale Snedeker, Peggy and Walt Weed, Jeanne and Gary Masters, Jack Minnig and Lisa Longenbach, David and Danielle Minnig and Jim and Stacey Minnig. He was the devoted grandfather of Matthew, Jennifer, David, Danny, Alicia, Samantha. Travis. Brianna, Cody, Ashley, Megan, Jenna and Jimmy. He was the great grandfather of Brianna and Evan. He was the brother of Mary Arlene Minnig and the late Henry and Patrick Minnig. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church. Interment will take place on Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
