Born and raised in the Levittown area, Joe was a 2001 graduate of Neshaminy High School. After graduation, Joe went on to work as an auto body technician for many years with the McCafferty Ford and Reedman dealerships. During the pandemic, he proudly obtained his CDL and began a new career as a truck driver with Waste Management.
Joe was a good athlete and an avid sports fan. Through the guidance of his Uncle Denny, Joe played and developed a love of sports. As a child he played baseball for Middletown Athletic Association for 10 years and continued to play baseball, football, and basketball throughout his years at Carl Sandburg Junior High, and other athletic organizations. His love for sports also made him a passionate Philly sports fan!
Joe was a pleasure to be around and made friends anywhere he went. He was kind, compassionate, generous, and his great personality was evident in everything he did. Laughter was a big part of Joe’s world and he could often be found watching old sitcoms or comedy shows and in turn he enjoyed making others laugh. In his free time, he cherished fishing trips to Avalon with his son, Devon.
Joe is the beloved husband of Danielle (nee Sevier); loving father of Devon and cherished son of Denise Rushwick. He is the dear nephew of Sue Rushwick, Barbara and Dennis Cox, Claire and Chris Llewellyn. He is also survived by his cousins Dennis, Ryan, Matthew, Drew, Chris, Cara and their families; nieces Madisson, Brianne, Julianna and Samantha, a nephew Jacob; his brother-in-law Jarod (Susanne) Sevier and the many friends he loved.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Marie Rushwick and an uncle, Bill Rushwick.
