Kenneth J. Sargent

Kenneth J. Sargent died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 72.Born in Schenectady, NY, the son of the late Elizabeth (Delaney) and Kenneth J. Sargent, raised in Scotia, NY, he was a former resident of Fredericksburg, VA. Mr. Sargent has resided in Lower Bucks County since 1983.Until his retirement, Mr. Sargent spent his entire 37 years working in retail with the F. W. Woolworth, Co., including the location at Oxford Valley Mall. After retiring, he began working with Anthony Sylvan Pools in Doylestown and later with Carlton Pools in Warminster for many years.He enjoyed gardening and was a member of Liberty Region Corvette Club. Mr. Sargent was very proud to have his photo and article on retail published in the Wall Street Journal in 1989.Beloved husband of 51 years to Roberta S. (Grinter), Mr. Sargent is the loving father of Greg S. and David J. (Dawn) and her son, Derek Snedeker.He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Colin and Colby Sargent and their mother, Kimberly Tumminia, several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Sargent's name may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
