Laura Geist Laura Geist "Miss Laura" passed away at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne on Saturday, September 20, 2014 following a brief illness. She was 81. Laura was born in Mt. Carmel and was a long time Bristol resident retiring to Galilee Village in Levittown. Laura was a Kindergarten teacher at William Penn School in Fallsington for many years. She remained in contact with many of the students she had taught over the years. After retiring, Laura became part ot the Cassano family while caring for the Cassano children. Laura was a reading volunteer for the Pennsbury School District. Laura loved children and dedicated her life to teaching them. Laura was an independent woman who was not afraid to speak her mind. Laura may be gone from our lives, but she will live in our hearts forever. Laura is survived by her adopted family, Pete, Patti, Tom, Alyssa and Hallie Cassano and her nieces Frances Geist, Joanne Geist and great niece Debra. A memorial service to celebrate Laura's life will be held on Saturday, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations in Laura's memory be made to the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library, 680 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
