

Marsima Marable passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Aria Health Hospice Unit in Langhorne surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years of age, less than a month shy of her 84th birthday. She was born on September 5, 1926 in Philadelphia and raised there by her parents Simeon Maramag, born in the Philippine Islands, and Agnes Maddela. She moved to Levittown as an adult in 1952 when homes were first being built. She told many stories about the Navy yard where she worked for a time. Gramm had a passion for art of all kinds and her family has many examples of that to cherish. She was always pursuing new interests and taking college courses in a variety of subjects. She always made time for travel and working with fine jewelry. She enjoyed doing office work at Rider College and working as a nursing assistant in the office of Dr. Joseph Kepko in Bensalem until she retired. Marsima is survived by her daughter Marsima Dodson (Darl) of Pittsburgh, PA, her son Simeon-David Marable (Pamela) of Levittown and her son Donato Marable of Morrisville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Marsima was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Simeon Maddela and Riccardo Maddela, her sister Catalina Maddela and 2 grandsons S.D. dePaul Marable and D.D. Christopher Marable. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home., Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
