Born and raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, Mrs. Haigh was a long time resident of Levittown.
She enjoyed crafting, camping, trips to North Wildwood and shopping but most importantly she loved the times spent with her family.
Beloved wife of George Haigh for 65 years, Mrs. Haigh was the loving mother of Merle M. Schick, George J. Haigh Jr. (Theresa Raab), Richard J. Haigh (Carolyn), Denise Haigh (Fran Hancotte) and Maria Haigh.
She was a devoted grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 31.
Merle will also be missed by her sister-in-law and best friend, Bella Bradley, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
