Michael K. Connolly

Michael K. Connolly Michael K. Connolly died surrounded by his loving family at his home in Langhorne, on Monday, December 19, 2011, after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 63. Born in Wilmslow, England, the son of the late William M. and Kathleen V. (Geddes) Connolly and brother of the late Terrence C. Connolly, he was a former long time resident of Morrisville and former member of Holy Trinity Parish. A member of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Langhorne, he was a graduate of Saint Michael the Archangel School, Levittown and a 1967 graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Fairless Hills. He was a manager at the Morrisville and Newtown Pennsylvania State Liquor Stores for 18 years, until his retirement in 1990. A US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, Mr. Connolly was a member of the Bensalem Disabled American Veterans, Post 117 and the Jesse Soby American Legion Post 148, Langhorne. Beloved husband of 42 years to Joanne (Burns), Mr. Connolly was the loving father of Colleen Connolly (John Kusnerick), Theresa Connolly, Kevin M. Connolly (Laura), Heather Connolly and Karen Clear (Kevin); devoted grandfather of Sara, Alena, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Felicia and Ryan; and the brother of Bryan Connolly (Karen), Kathleen M. McSherry (Michael) and Patricia A. Roberts (Troy). He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 10:00 until 11:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
