

Norbert J. Blum Norbert "Joe" J. Blum died tragically on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. He was 49. Born in Bristol, he was raised in Fairless Hills and graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1982. He has resided in Croydon for the past 25 years and was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish. Joe worked at Modern Sheet Metal in Bristol for 30 years, prior to that he was named Apprentice of the Year from the Sheet Metal Workers Union #19. He enjoyed photography and traveling, but mostly he loved spending time with his family. Joe was the beloved husband of Linda M. (Bolton) for 25 years. He was the devoted and loving father of Karianne, Merissa V. and Amber N. Blum all of Croydon. He was the son of Norbert C. and Fay (Farrell) Blum of Fairless Hills and the brother of Christine McHugh (John) of Indianapolis, Noreen Foster (John) of E. Stroudsburg, Melinda F. Moran (Kevin) of Wrightstown and the late Terri Blum. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends may call on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 6:00 until 9:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1200 Park Avenue, Bensalem. Interment will be held privately. There will be no calling hours on Saturday morning. Memorial contributions for the Blum girl's education fund may be made payable to Melinda Moran in care of the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. at the above address.
