Richard K. Theobald

Richard K. Theobald Richard K. Theobald died at his home in Levittown, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. He was 77. Born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, the son of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Keene) Theobald, he was a 1951 graduate of Lincoln High School. Mr. Theobald was a resident of Levittown for 50 years. He was a member of New Life Christian Church, Newtown. Mr. Theobald was employed in transportation management with the former Schmidt's Brewery, K-Mart and Stech Transportation until his retirement in 2005. A US Navy veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post 960, the Blue Lodge 776 F&AM and Shriners International. He was also a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Central Jersey. Mr. Theobald enjoyed hunting and the outdoors at his vacation home in Liberty, PA. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Beloved husband of 54 years to Carolyn B. (Hofstetter), Mr. Theobald was the loving father of Gary R. (Patrice) of Pittsburgh, Ruth C. Locklear (Chris) of Levittown and Richard K., Jr. (Ilene) of Jeffersonville, PA. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Brittany, Eric, Ryan and Hunter and the brother of Harry Theobald of Chesapeake, VA, Betty Slack of Skowhegan, ME and the late Thomas. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 5:00 until 6:00 pm at the New Life Christian Church, 4 Freedom Drive, Newtown 18940, where his Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
