Rose A. Jones

Rose Jones (nee Gallagher) passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 97 years old. Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late James Patrick Gallagher (McGallaghley) and Helen (Nellie) McDonnell, Rose was a longtime resident of Hulmeville. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her home was always open to anyone who wanted to come and stay and there was always room for one more at the table.

Rose was an avid reader, especially mysteries. Her home was always filled with books. She instilled her love of reading in all her children. She also loved to travel. Whenever someone suggested a trip, it didn't matter the destination, her answer was usually "Sounds Good". She enjoyed many wonderful vacations with family and friends. Rose's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and they loved spending time with her. She will be dearly missed.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Jones, her sisters, Marie Horwath (Chick), Dorothy Gallagher, Helen Gallagher, Regina Gallagher, her brothers, James (Josephine), Jack (Anna), and Thomas.

She is survived by her children, Rosemary (Pat), Regina (Dean), Bernardine, Eileen (Rick), Barney (Elizabeth), Kathleen (Rusty) and her grandchildren, Michael, Meghan (Andrew), Colleen, Christopher, Kevin, Erin, Kathryn (Sean), Ryan, David, Jamie (Rob) and her great grandchildren Wes and Raya.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA. Calling time will be from 9:30 AM until 10:30 am at the church. The mass will be held at 10:30 am, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA.
