Rosemary Kathleen Ancharski (née Devlin), known affectionately to many as "Rosey," passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 27, 1941, to Cornelius and Agnes Devlin, Rosemary was a shining light of kindness and grace to all who knew her.
A long-time resident of Glassboro, NJ, Rosemary most recently called Yardley, PA, her home. She worked as a dedicated bank manager before retiring, leaving a legacy of professionalism and warmth for her colleagues and customers alike.
Rosemary shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Joseph Ancharski, with whom she celebrated more than 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised a loving family that brought her immense pride and joy. She is survived by her children, Joseph, Patrick (Suzanne), Michael (Carlos), and Brian (Amy). Additionally, she was the cherished grandmother to eight grandchildren—Conor, Ashley, Madison, Katie, Haley, Brianna, Kari, and Rebecca—and the proud great-grandmother to Athena, who brought her great delight and love.
Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved brother James Devlin, who shared a wonderful life with his wife, Betty. All of Rosemary’s numerous nieces and nephews each held a special place in her heart and were recipients of her endless warmth and love.
Rosemary also built a special bond with her devoted aide, also named Rosemary, whose compassionate care and unwavering kindness brought comfort and dignity to her final days. Her presence was a true blessing, and the family will always cherish her support.
Rosemary had an innate gift for seeing the good in everyone she met, always believing in the kindness of others and treating everyone as if they were a friend. Throughout her life, she cherished the time with her friends from almost daily outings to the diner to bowling, playing dominoes and cards, and spending countless hours on nightly phone calls.
Her compassionate heart extended to her deep love for animals, who were always welcome in her home and heart. She also had a lifelong affection for teddy bears, collecting them with joy and treasuring each as a symbol of comfort and warmth.
A visitation for Rosemary will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, 999 Reading Avenue #1, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067, followed by her funeral mass at 11:30 AM. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania 18940.
Her life was a testament to the power of love, perseverance, and kindness. While Rosemary will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
