Ruth M. AtkinRuth M. Atkin passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her home. She was 87.Born and raised in Bridgeton, NJ and formerly of Mount Pocono, Mrs. Atkin was a resident of Levittown since 1958. She was a longtime attendee at Queen of the Universe Parish.Mrs. Atkin enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle with her longtime friends and the Forsythia Gate Women's Club.She will be sadly missed by her family, neighbors and friends.Beloved wife of the late John L., Mrs. Atkin was the loving mother of Michael G. and spouse, Kathleen of Newtown and Kim and spouse Owen of Hop Bottom, PA and the devoted grandmother of Diipali DeMatteo and Ravi Figgles.She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm.
