Violet V. Small, of Croydon, died on Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by her loving son, daughter and daughter-in-law. She was 78. Born in Bangor, Maine, Mrs. Small resided in Maine for many years before moving to Croydon 5 years ago. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years. She was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed making sweaters for the needy and local children's hospitals. Mrs. Small was the wife of the late Douglas Small Sr. She was the loving mother of Rebecca Jane Thibedeau and her husband Roger, Tina Small, Douglas Small Jr. and his wife Maureen, Vickie Lynn Saunders Tardiff and Tammy Lee Bissonnette and her husband Norman. She will also be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her sister Florence Violet. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
