

Virginia M. Tonrey Caldwell Virginia M. Tonrey Caldwell passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 53. Born and raised in Levittown, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Sarah V. Tonrey, and was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas E. Tonrey. Virginia has been a resident of Quakertown for the past 19 years and was a very faithful member of Saint Isidore Roman Catholic Church. She was a 1979 graduate of the former Bishop Conwell High School and a 1984 graduate of West Chester University. Virginia was an Internal Program Manager at Dorman Products in Colmar, PA for the past 26 years. She also devoted her time and talents to the Girl Scouts of America for 12 years, taking on the organizing of countless fundraising efforts, most notably, serving as "Cookie Mom", and facilitating numerous community service projects. She cherished her weekend getaways with her husband and all the times spent with her entire family. The love of her family was the most important thing in her life. Beloved wife of 19 years to Brien R. Caldwell, Virginia was the loving mother of Victoria A.; devoted stepmother of Sean C. Caldwell (Jenniah) and Timothy L. Caldwell (fiancé Michelle Pearl); and proud grandmother of Isabella. Virginia will be profoundly missed by her siblings, John J. Tonrey (Donna), James P. Tonrey (Mary Ann), Patrick F. Tonrey (Dana), Sarah V. Wilkinson (Charles), Theresa B. Currey (W. Robert), Michael W. Tonrey (Anna), Mary C. Laemmer (Stefan), and Michelle A. Bilardo (Wayne). Virginia will also be sadly missed by her father-in-law, Donald J. Caldwell (Joan), her mother-in-law, Mary V. Caldwell, her sisters-in-law, Leah DiPasquale (Andrew), Megan Caldwell, Kristin (Greg) Richter, her step brother-in-law Lance Sweigart and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 18, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, December 19, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 19, at 11:00 am, at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown. The Rite of Committal will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Virginia's name to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children at www.stjude.org.
