

Warren J. Theiss of Fairless Hills died on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 90.He was born in Bronx, New York and was a long time resident of Long Island, New York. Throughout his life he traveled the world with his wife and lived the last 16 years in Fairless Hills.He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the Battle of the Bulge and earning two Purple Hearts and a Oak Leaf Cluster.He enjoyed traveling, cooking, and especially spending time with his family.Mr. Theiss was the beloved husband of Edna (Strittmatter) for 67 years.He was the loving father of Barbara Burke (Bill) and the late Raymond Theiss.He was the devoted grandfather of Allison Burke-Laderman (Mark), Ryan Burke (Kate), and Katherine Burke and the great grandfather of Mia, Jack, Emma, and Liv.Family and friends are invited to call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. On Thursday there will be a military burial ceremony at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Washington Crossing at 10:30 am.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
