

William Chalmers "Chip" Anderson III of Levittown died suddenly on Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was 61.Chip was a lifelong resident of Bucks County, where he lived with his wife, Susan, of 41 years. He had a broad range of interests including music, politics, books, and movies, and enjoyed long, in-depth conversations about many topics. Chip attended Girard College as a youth, Neshaminy High School, and later, Berklee College of Music in Boston.He was proud of his work as a tool and die maker, an occupation which he held all of his working life. Chip loved working on and riding his motorcycles, and was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead. This lovable curmudgeon will be greatly missed by all who loved him.Chip is the son of the late Dolores (Lepping) Anderson and William C. Anderson, Jr. He is survived by his wife Susan V. (Murphy) Anderson, daughter Bonnie Sweet (Steve), and son William C. Anderson IV (Brad); grandchildren Steven Jr., Damian, and Ryan Sweet. He is also survived by: sister Diane Anderson (Norine Kevolic); brother Michael Anderson (Kim); nieces Kailyn and Kierstyn Anderson; aunts Betsy Anderson and Mae Byman. Family and friends are invited to call from 12 until 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment is private.Chip loved animals very much.
