

William P. Hanrahan William P. Hanrahan, age 89, of Fairless Hills, PA, died on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Hanrahan was a resident of Levittown from 1964 until moving to Fairless Hills in 2001. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Prior to his retirement in the late 80's, Bill worked as a tree surgeon for a tree trimming company for many years. Bill was devoted to his family, and enjoyed doing yard work around the house. He was predeceased by a son, Robert E. Alexander; two daughters Patricia A. Brown, Joyce A. Margerum; a grandson, David Herrmann; a granddaughter, Michelle Margerum and several brothers and sisters. Devoted husband of the late Anne Mancini Hanrahan. Loving father of Judith Herrmann of Fairless Hills with whom he resided. He will be sadly missed by 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his many friends at the Golden Dawn Diner and Shanti Gardens, where he recently enjoyed spending his time making new friends. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, Fairless Hills. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
