That he was a great person, always had a smile... He'll be missed ... Charles, Matthew, Zachary  & myself will always love you n remember all the good times.. Rest easy till we meet again  ...  :-(

My strongest memories of Uncle Bill is how strong and family orientated he was.  Whenever I saw him as a young child he always had a smile on his face and a pat on my back.  More recently at family reunions it was a firm handshake and questions on my family.  Uncle Bill was always genuinely caring about others.  We will miss him and now that he has moved on we are glad that he is up with others we miss and love.   

He was so blessed. I honor him for serving our country. What a wonderful father snd grand-father. Condolences to everyone. 

I have been fortunate enough to have spent a lot of time with Dad in the past 7 years with lots if special moments. But some of my favorite memories are the car rides we had together. He never cared where we were going, he just wanted to ride, we would have the radio on and he would say "Sing it! U know u want to!" And I would sing and he would conduct the band. Out of the blue he would come out with a one liner and crack me up....he never missed an opportunity to crack a joke even when u thought he wasn't paying attention.  That's when I would see the spark of the old Bill, and say to myself ah, there you are, still in there somewhere! I loved u Dad with all my heart and that's where u will always be.

In this time of sorrow and sadness that you are gone, all I can think about is how grateful I am for the moments. Moments that on this rainy night, I think of, and they make me smile, and help to make the sorrow go away.  Some of my fondest moments growing up were at the campground around Halloween. I remember the moments, sitting around the campfire and burning marshmallows (which I rarely ate), and you listening Im sure to the same stories from me, over and over, and always listening as intently as if it were the first time. I remember walking the campground with you trick or treating, and you were always willing to help me carry the haul.  I was always impressed and admired your quick wit, and ability to always slip a one-liner in and have the room chuckling about something. You and gram had one of the first CD players Id ever seen.  I would always ask to play with it and would pretend I was a disk jockey, After traffic and weather well play 5 songs in a row. I was never allowed to use the Elvis CDs though, god help us both if those ever got ruined. So a Garth Brooks and George Strait song later however, Id get bored, and the urge to give you an update again was too great, and after 2 songs Id start to give a sports update, or the traffic and weather again.  I always thought you were sound asleep, but half napping on the couch (feet on the table, which I dont think was allowed), I would see a slight head tilt and one eye would open and you say something along the lines, thought it was 5 songs in a row, I think I might need to change the station. Just as quick as the comment came youd close that eye, straighten your head back up and go right back to your nap. I always smile whenever I think of it, so thank you for the moments.  Those moments and many others that I will carry with me always. Words can not convey how grateful I am for your guidance and helping to shape me into the individual I have become today. I love you always, and hope there is a big enough supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts in heaven for you. Semper Fi Pop!Love,Phil

Sending lots of love and a prayer for peace to Patrice and her family. I was saddened to here of the passing of your father. After reading the obituary Im lifted in my spirit to know that he has such a loving family. May you continue to be comforted and encouraged by those who love and care about you you too....cherish every memory of a life well lived. 

My dearest father, I have so many loving memories of you.  The things you taught us like family love, hard work, honor, humor, love of music , nature, to live in the moment, help another if you can.  Enjoy a party!!!  Dance and lead the band. My life had sparkle because of you.  Heaven now has your sparkle.  Like you always did, I will take care of Mom.
