

AUBURN – Alfreda R. Carbonneau, 97, formerly of Warren Avenue in Lewiston passed away peacefully Wednesday October 25th at Clover Health Care Facility following a brief illness with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston October 10, 1920 the daughter of Alfred and Mina (Lacombe) Robie.
She was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s School in “Little Canada” and was a graduated from Lewiston High School. She married the love of her life Leo Carbonneau on April 27, 1946.
She was a longtime employee as a voter registration clerk at Lewiston City Hall for over 30 years.
Following her retirement, she volunteered for many years at Holy Cross School Cafeteria.
She was lovingly known for her whoopie pies and filled cookies.
Alfreda was affectionately known through family generations as “Deda”, “Ma”, “Memere”, and “Supamemere”
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Poulin and husband, Peter of Lewiston, and Claudia Boulet of Auburn. Also surviving is Denise Theriault who was also like a daughter to her. One sister, Martha Marsh of Lewiston. Four grandchildren Brian Boulet and wife Tracy, Sherri Carter and husband Randy, Angela Moore and husband, Jason, Eric Poulin and wife Leslie, five great grandchildren, Kaitie King and husband, Michael, Marisa and Jeremy Carter, Samuel and Jaxon Moore.
Besides her husband, Leo she was predeceased by two brothers, George and Lucien Robie, one sister in law Cecile Lewandoski, and brother in law Albert Carbonneau.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Alfreda’s life will be celebrated Thursday 11:00AM November 2nd at Holy Cross Church. Committal prayers to follow at 1:00PM at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Civic Center Dr, Augusta.
