

Paris-Alvin S. Webster Jr. of 470 Hardscrabble Rd in Poland died on May 5, 2016 at the Maine Veterans Home in So. Paris, Me. He was born in Lynn, Mass on October 13, 1923 to Alvin S. Webster Sr. and Helen (Mitchell) Webster. Al lived most of his life in Auburn, Maine. He is predeceased by his wife Beverly Webster and his daughter Alane Webster White. He is survived by his children; Carol Webster Delano of Crystal River, FL; Steve Webster of Auburn; Robert Webster of Leeds; Lisa Webster Davis of Auburn and Angus Webster of Woolwich. Al has 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Al served in the US Navy during WWII as a Seaman 1st class aboard the USS Atticus AF; USS Mahogany and USS Fern. He was a member of the VFW 31 Post 1603. Al was a member of the Teamsters Union having worked for Douglas Motors; Capital Motors; HP Hood and Sanborn’s Motor Express. Al will be remembered by many horse enthusiasts for his riding stable at Maple Hill Farm in North Auburn. His greatest love was Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He spent countless hours riding through the northeast and attending motorcycle events from Maine to Florida. Al’s final Harley ride was to his daughter-in-law’s, Cyndi Webster’s Celebration of Life in August of 2015 with his wife Beverly in the sidecar of his 1997 Harley FLH. We considered him a legend! Dad, Gramps, Al or Alvin, whatever you called him, he leaves a huge void in our lives. The family wishes to thank the staff of CMCC, The Maine Veterans Home and all the friends and family who visited, called and prayed for Dad and the family.

Webster-Died in Paris May 5, 2016. Alvin S. Jr. age 92 of Auburn. Graveside Committal services will be held on May 12th at 12 noon at the Maine Veterans Cemetery Mt. Vernon Road Augusta, ME. The family strongly urges those who wish to attend the committal service to meet at 11:00am at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home to form a procession to the cemetery.
