Auburn- Armand J. Bernier 91, formerly of Lewiston died Monday June 13, 2011 at Clover Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Lewiston on September 18, 1919 a son of the late Joseph and Camille (Fournier) Bernier. He was educated in local schools. Armand proudly served his country in the US Army. He married Fay Braley on July 3, 1948. He worked as a salesman for many local companies. Armand was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Lewiston. In his youth and while serving in the Army he was an active boxer. He enjoyed watching boxing and baseball especially the Red Sox, fishing and going to yard sales. He leaves his wife of 62 years Fay Bernier of Lewiston, two sons Gary Bernier and his wife Michelle of Lewiston and Michael Bernier and his wife Paige of Lewiston, a sister Pauline Bolduc of Auburn and 6 grandchildren: Craig, Kyle, Kailey, Colton, Tyler and Joshua. He was predeceased by a brother Victor Bernier. The family would like to send a very special thank you to the staff at Clover Manor for all the years of dedicated care given to Armand.
