Beryl B. Mottram

Lewiston - Ms. Beryl B. Mottram, age 90, formerly of Turner Rd. in Auburn, died early Saturday morning April 22nd at Russell Park Manor. She was born in Auburn September 14, 1926, one of four children born to George W. and Leonida (Riel) Mottram. Beryl was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School with the class of 1945. She attended Auburn Maine School of Commerce and the University of Maine to study Accounting and attended the Plus School in Portland studying Data Processing and Programing. Beryl was a longtime, faithful and active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Auburn. Her work history included 15 years as Bookkeeper at Kerr Electrical Co. in Auburn, five years as Office Manager at McDonald Heel Corp. in Lewiston, Senior Bookkeeper and Asst. Office Manager at Pioneer Plastics Corp. in Auburn, Head Bookkeeper at Belgrade Shoe Corp. in Auburn and then worked 23 years at Maine Research Corp., which later became Maine Electronics until her retirement in 1989. Among many other responsibilities, her duties included accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivables and payable, payroll and much more. Beryl was a hard-working, dedicated and trustworthy employee.

Among her favorite enjoyments were traveling, reading, arts and crafts, playing golf, bowling, bicycling and boating. She was a loving and devoted sister and aunt who will be dearly missed. She leaves behind her sister Geneva Beauregard and husband Adrien of Lewiston. Nieces Diane Garrott (Robert), Janice Carsley (Scott), nephew Michael Johnson (Anne Marie), and several, grandnieces and grandnephews.
