Lewiston- Claudette C. Aube died peacefully, Thursday January 25, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, after a very short illness with her family by her side. She was born in Lewiston on May 19, 1939 a daughter of the late Charles and Annette (Aube) Masse. Claudette was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School. She married the love of her life Leo I. Aube in 1958, he died July 17, 1994. Claudette was a wonderful homemaker in supporting her children in whatever event they had going on. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Eagles, Past Time Club, American Legion, Woman's Auxiliary of The Maine National Guard, Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus and was troop leader for many years. Claudette was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Just five weeks ago she celebrated life with Minnie and Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World in Florida with her children and grandchildren. Claudette enjoyed dancing, playing cards, music and spending time with her entire family. She adored her nine grandchildren, and also cherished her many friends, especially Jeannette Blais who passed away last week, Jean Guy Piche and Rolande.
She leaves three daughters Tina Robichaud and her husband Tony of Lewiston, Lisa Aube-Cote of Auburn and Gina Aube-Guimond and her husband David of Auburn, a son Mark Aube and his lovely wife Michelle of Auburn. Her nine grandchildren Calli Robichaud, Chad, Eric, Renee and Ruby Aube-Cote, Austin and Mason Aube, Jaime Lee and Cody Russell and a step grandson Christopher Guimond. Her three sisters Constance Dufour, Pauline Firczak and husband John, and Lorraine Bolen and companion Al Audette, two brothers Normand Masse and wife Lorraine, Raymond Masse and wife Doris, a brother in law Richard Aube and wife Carmen and a sister in law Yvette She also had four godchildren Jodie Gilbert, Victor Dufour, Michael Aube, and Ray Burnham and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Masse.
