Dorothy M. Dube

AUBURN-Dorothy M. (Cloutier) Dube of Lewiston passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at age 85. She was born in Auburn on July 17, 1933 to Willie & Victoria (Genesse) Cloutier. Dorothy grew up and was educated in Auburn, Me.

She worked as a stitcher at Etonic Shoes for many years. Dorothy’s favorite thing to do was shopping, knitting and playing cards, and socializing with family and friends. Dorothy fell in love with and married Bertrand Dube on May 7, 1955. They made their home in Lewiston and raised 4 children. Dorothy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for many years. She was also a member of the daughter of St. Anne Sodality.

She is survived by a daughter Monique Rumery and her husband Peter of Biddeford, and 3 sons: Mike Dube of Gonic, NH; Andre Dube of Mt. Vernon and his significant other Gina Snow, and John Dube and his wife Rachel of Sabattus; 2 sisters: Jackie Bisson & her husband Maurice of Lewiston and Denise Lamontagne & her husband Maurice of Auburn. 2 brothers: Maurice Cloutier and his wife Jean of Lewiston and Fernand Cloutier and his wife Jeannette of Florida. 2 sister-in-laws: Jeanne Cloutier and Rolande Dube both of Auburn . 4 grandchildren: Brandon, Kara, Austin, & Bryce, 2 great grandchildren: Paige and Lincoln.

She was predeceased by her parents: Willie & Victoria Cloutier, her husband: Bertrand Dube, her 3 brothers: Marcel Cloutier (a baby), Andre Cloutier and Dennis Cloutier, and a grandson: Timothy T. Rumery and a brother-in-law Lucien Dube.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank the kind and courageous staff of Androscoggin Home HealthCare Hospice for caring and make our mother comfortable.

Funeral services honoring Dorothy’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 3-7 PM at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston 784-4023.
