

AUBURN - Edward W. Kennedy, 86, formerly of 10 Colby Street, Auburn passed away Tuesday, June 12th at Clover Manor. He was born to Anna (Duperey) and Arthur P. Kennedy in Kirby, VT on July 22, 1920 and moved to Auburn as a young child. On April 1, 1940 he married Lena B. Sidelinger in Mechanic Falls, ME. Together they owned and operated the Archway Cookie Distributorship in Central Maine for 26 years before retiring in 1980. Ed was a member of Ancient Brothers Lodge #178, Ancient Scottish Rite Bodies, 32nd Degree Mason, and Pine Cone Chapter #26 O.E.S. He was active in the Advent Christian Church and later joined the Court Street Baptist Church where he served a term on the Board of Trustees and ushered for many years. He is survived by three children, Wesley E. Kennedy and his wife, Pat of South Berwick; David L. Kennedy and his wife, Marge of Webster, MA; one daughter, Linda E. Kennedy of Guilford, CT; Four grandchildren, Wendy Kennedy Ralph and her husband, Bill and their children Catherine, Elizabeth, and Margaret of Yarmouth; Jason D. Kennedy and his fianc�e, Carol Brozenske of Westport, CT; Jennifer Kennedy Marchi and her husband, Chip and their children, Jay, Tyler, Tess, and Tanner of Mansfield, MA; and Justin D. Kennedy of Park City, UT. He also leaves a stepsister, Joyce Kennedy Allen of St. Johnsbury, VT, a stepbrother, Paul Kennedy of Florida. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Lena, a stepbrother, Anthony Kennedy, a stepsister, Colleen Kennedy Degrenia, and a dear friend, Jeanne Paquin. KENNEDY died in Auburn, June 12, 2007, Mr. Edward W. Kennedy age 86 years formerly of 10 Colby St., Auburn. Funeral services honoring Ed's life will be held TUESDAY, June 19th at 12:00PM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham and Son with Pastor David Clark officiating. Burial with committal prayers to follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
