

Auburn - Emile A. Frechette, 96 of Lewiston died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. He was born in Lewiston, December 1, 1915 son of the late Joseph and Clarina Roux Frechette. He was educated in Lewiston schools and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was married August 5, 1939 to Olivette L. Cote who predeceased him October 20, 1997. Prior to his retirement in 1971, Emile was employed 25 years at Bates Manufacturing Company and as a supervisor for 15 years in mill # 5. He was a member of Holy Family Church, American Legion Post # 22 and the Thompson Lake Association. He enjoyed small mouth bass fishing and woodworking and bird watching at his summer residence on Thompson Lake. He is survived by a son, Raymond Frechette and wife Gloria of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two grandchildren, Carol Thomas and husband Robert of Auburn and Raymond Frechette, Jr. and wife Lisa of Lewiston; four great grandchildren, Rebekah and Joshua Frechette and Emile and Ezra Thomas; a sister, Cecile Poulin of Lewiston; his longtime friend, Therese Poulin of Lewiston. He was predeceased by his wife, an infant son, Roger in 1947 and an infant daughter Monique in 1950; two sisters, Imelda Gagnon and Lorette Sullivan and six brothers, Antonio, Alfred, Roland, Ernest, Willie and Adrien. Visitation at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church. Committal with military honors at St. Peter's Cemetery.
