Ernest J. Roy 1926 - 2006 LEWISTON- Ernest J. Roy, 80, of 7 Franklin St., Lewiston died late Friday evening December 22, 2006 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Rumford on December 1, 1926 the son of Aurele and Lucy (Richard) Roy and had been a resident of this community for most of his life. Mr. Roy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 through 1947. He worked for Philips Elmet in Lewiston for thirty years. He married the former Rita Vermette on January 13, 1960. He is survived by his wife of forty-six years Rita Roy of Lewiston; his sons Ernest of Northfield, N.H., David of Nashua, N.H.; his grandchildren Matthew, Angelique, Michael, Marc and Amy Roy all of Northfield, N.H.; his brothers James, Richard, Leonard, Ronald and Aurele Roy; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roy- Died in Lewiston Friday December 22, 2006. Mr. Ernest J. age 80 a resident of Lewiston. Committal services will be held Friday 9AM at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Rd. in Augusta. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ernest's memory to the Alzheimer's Association 163 Lancaster Street Suite 160B Portland, Maine 04101.
