George G. Pelletier

LEWISTON- George G. Pelletier, 78, of Lewiston died unexpectedly in his loving wife’s arms on Saturday June 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick Canada on November 6, 1934 the son of the late Prudent and Alma (Sirois) Pelletier and had been a resident of this community for most of his life. He was employed as a foreman for Juliette Mills in Lisbon for many years. George was a simple man. He enjoyed family barbeques and sitting outside on his swing. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife the former Helen Saucier Pelletier whom he married on July 2, 1955 of Lewiston; a daughter Susan Langlais and her husband Richard of Lewiston; his son-in-law Guy Denis of Lewiston; three grandchildren Tina Lepple and her husband Jay of Marlborough, New Hampshire, Chad Denis and his wife Katrina of Lewiston and Nicholas Langlais and his wife Heather of Lewiston; three great grandchildren Sawyer and Reid Lepple of Marlborough, New Hampshire and Peyton Denis of Lewiston; four brothers Roland Pelletier of St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, Lucien Pelletier and his wife Connie of Lewiston, Alcide Pelletier and his wife Jeannine of Edmunston, New Brunswick and Conrad Pelletier and his wife Yvonne of St. Jacques, New Brunswick; six sisters Anita Boucher and her husband Alfred of Lewiston, Therese Collin and Jeannine Dube both of Manchester, Connecticut, Corinne Ouellette and her husband Clarence and Cora Pelletier both of Edmunston, New Brunswick and Gaetane Nadeau and her husband Gilles of St. Francois, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy Denis who died on December 1, 2011; two brothers Lewis and Aldeo Pelletier; and by four sisters Celina Morneau, Rolande Theriault, Cecile Martin and Lorraine Nadeau. Geo, Dad, Pepere, we know that Nancy was there to greet you with open arms. You must have had the biggest smile on your face when you saw her in heaven waiting for you. A Funeral Mass honoring George’s life will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul (Lower Church). Committal services will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
