Georgette C. Villeneuve

AUBURN- On Friday, November 10, 2017, at the age of 87, Georgette C. Villeneuve, of Lewiston, left her home on earth, surrounded by her family, and entered into her heavenly home where she was met by those who had gone before her.

She was born in Lewiston, Maine on January 22, 1930 to the late Ovide and Bernadette Nadeau.

On June 7, 1951 she married Fernand Villeneuve at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul. Georgette and Fern had four children, Roland, Ann Diane, and Gerald (Gerry).

Georgette was a member of the Pine Tree Warriors as well as Les Indiens snowshoe club. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her “soaps” while drinking a diet root beer, playing beano, taking naps and coloring. She was known, at her nursing home, for telling every employee that they were “her favorite”.

She is survived by her daughter Ann Richardson and her husband Bruce, her son Gerry Villeneuve and her daughter Diane Dubois and her husband JR all of Lewiston; She was a wonderful Memere to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Fern; her son Roland; and a sister Rita Roy.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Montello Manor, St. Mary’s Hospital and Hospice House for taking such good care of her.

Villeneuve- Died in Auburn on Friday, November 10, 2017. Mrs. Georgette C. age 87 a resident of Lewiston. Funeral services honoring Georgette’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be private at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Georgette’s memory to the Androscoggin Home Health & Hospice House, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, Maine 04240. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 pm prior to the service at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston 784-4023.
