Born in Bangor, ME on July 30th, 1982, Missy was later adopted by her parents Robert and Connie Donoghue. She spent some time in California as a teenager where she had her first daughter (Vanessa), but spent most her time growing up in Sabattus, ME where she attended Oak Hill High School and later had her second daughter (Gracelyn).
Melissa was free-spirited, adventurous, artistic, caring, full of life, and deeply loved her family & friends. She enjoyed spending time outside, fishing, drawing, and woodworking, as well as spending time with friends.
Although Missy was taken from us far too soon, she will always be fondly remembered by her friends and family for her spunky attitude, love for animals, her handyman (woman) capabilities, her ability to turn any situation into a good time, and immense love for her girls.
She is survived by her two daughters Vanessa Wojtczak and Gracelyn Clair, her grandson Kaizen, her mother Connie Donoghue, brother Todd Donoghue, her lifelong best friend Danielle Goulet, and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by her father Robert Donoghue, and several dear friends.
A Visitation for Missy will be held on Thursday, June 26th from 4-6pm at The Fortin & Pinette Group located at 305 Alfred A Plourde Pkwy, in Lewiston with Words of Remembrance at 5PM, immediately followed by a celebration/potluck around 6:30PM at the VFW located at 588 Minot Ave, in Auburn. There will be food and an open bar. Please let someone in the family know if you’re able to bring a dish for the celebration after the service.
Missy has requested that no one wear black to her funeral. From her clothes to her hair, she was always so bright and colorful. We hope you all will join us in wearing your brightest clothes in honor of such a beautiful soul.
