

LEWISTON - Muriel R. Mason, 57, of Wales went to be with the Lord peacefully Tuesday afternoon with her loving family by her side at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born in Lewiston, October 9, 1950, the daughter of Charles E. and Nellie M. (Wagg) Goding, Sr. She was a longtime resident of Wales, and was a 1968 graduate of Monmouth Academy then continued her education receiving her degree in food service. Muriel loved working with the elderly and had worked closely with Alzheimer's patients. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, ceramics, cooking, and also loved arts and crafts, Simple pleasures to her were watching the birds visit her bird feeder in the back yard. In the midst of all her trials and tribulations, she still maintained her sense of humor. She was a great inspiration to others, and lived her life to the fullest putting others before herself. Survivors include one son, Dennis Mason and his wife, Marianne of Lewiston; three daughters, Francine Rosenshein and her husband, Frederick of Wales; Samantha Mason and her fianc� Scott Demnick of Wales; and Doreen Mason of Lewiston; three sisters, Eldora Collins and her husband, Al of Auburn; Shirley Bowen and her husband, Bob of Auburn; and Beatrice Pressey and her husband, Dennis of Kingston, N.H.; one foster brother, James Davis and his wife, Fern of Wales, and also surviving are five dear grandchildren, Dennis, Elizabeth, Nathan, Amanda, and Alex, as well as many nieces and nephews Besides her parents , she was predeceased by her first husband, Dennis L. McDonald and her second husband, Richard E. Mason; one son Dennis L. McDonald II; and two brothers, Charles E. Goding, Jr., and Kenneth A. Goding. MASON died in Lewiston, December 18, 2007, Mrs. Muriel R. Mason age 57 years a resident of Wales. Funeral services honoring her life will be held FRIDAY 6:00PM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Pastor Mary Beth Caffey presiding.Burial with graveside committal prayers will be held later in the Spring at Pine Street Cemetery, Auburn.
