

AUBURN – Odette P. Fournier, 86, a resident of Western Ave., Auburn died peacefully November 27th Thanksgiving evening at the Hospice House with family by her side.She was born in Chisholm, March 20, 1922 the daughter of Dr. Thomas and Carmela (Lapointe) Croteau. Odette was a graduate of Jay High School, attended Rivier College in Nashua, NH., and in 1943 graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Lewiston with Registered Nursing degree. On June 7, 1947, she married Louis J. Fournier at the St. Rose de Lima Church in Chisholm. Both she and Louis raised a family of four children. Her family was her life and she was always devoted to them. She was also a good friend and good neighbor. Odette was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and was a CCD teacher there for many years. She was also a member of CMMC’s Women’s Hospital Association, a Red Cross volunteer, the First Auburn Senior Citizens, and a member of the Thursday Morning Freedom Bowling League. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Louis J. Fournier of Auburn; children, Louise Milasauskis and husband, Albert of Gorham ;grandchildren, Kelly Milasauskis Littlefield, and William Milasauskis. Great grandchildren, Noah and Emily Littlefield; Joline Kelley and husband, Timothy of Plymouth, MA, grandchildren, Patrick and Matthew Kelley; Philip Fournier and wife, Annette of North Yarmouth grandchildren, Michelle, Julie, and Scott Fournier; Celeste Butler and husband, Darryl, grandchildren, Nicole and Danielle Butler of Acton, MA; one sister, Candide R. Leblanc of Lewiston; a special nephew and caregiver, Marc Croteau of Auburn. She was predeceased by 7 siblings, Monique Morin, Corinne Lepage, Reine Perkins, Tom, Denis, Andre, and Augustin Croteau. FOURNIER died in Auburn, November 27, 2008, Mrs. Oddette P. Fournier age 86 years a resident of Auburn. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring Odette’s life will be celebrated TUESDAY 11:00AM in the Parish of the Immaculate Mary at Sacred Heart Church. Burial and committal will be private.
