Pamela Parker

OAKLAND Pamela Parker, 52, of Oakland Maine, unexpectedly leaving behind her loving family on Monday August 2, 2021. She was born in Arizona on October 12, 1968. Pam graduated from Oak Hill High School and received an Associates Degree in Nursing from the University of Maine at Augusta.

She was married her high school sweetheart, Mark Averill and were together for 25 years. Later, she married Derek Parker, whom has pre-deceased her.

Pam worked at Riverview Psychiatric Hospital as a Registered Nurse and loved what she did. She had a passion for helping others and would give the shirt off her back for anyone. Pam loved her two children so much and would tell anyone how proud she was of them.

She enjoyed cooking, boating, and animals. Pam adored her dog, Shadow, and her chickens.

She was survived by her daughter, Kelsey Averill; son, Austin Averill; sister, Mary Jane Parker; brother, Gary Richards; brother, Gerald Richards; nephew, niece, and cousins.

Pam is predeceased by her parents, William and Clara Bullen; and Dora and Harvey Richards.

The visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday August 11, 2021 at the Fortin Group on 70 Horton St in Lewiston. There will later be a celebration of life from 1-4 on Sunday August 15, 2021 at the American Legion in Sabattus.
