Robert O. St.Michel

Monmouth-Bob St.Michel Jr., 47, of Cobbosse Rd in Monmouth died Friday, August 10, 2007 at home, surrounded by his loved ones after battling cancer. Bob was born on April 6, 1960, in Portland, the son of the late Robert O. St.Michel Sr. and Iris (Jackson) St Michel.He graduated in 1978 from Oxford Hills High School. He furthered his education at Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, where he obtained his plumbing and oil burner licenses, and he was a certified crafsman in the welding and pipefitting trades. Bob was a proud member of the Pipefitter/Welder U.A. Local 716, for 25 years.Bob had �a real "bark" for life. He enjoyed the great outdoors and he was a man of all seasons. He was always venturing out to find new fishing holes and hunting grounds. He loved to hunt , fish, and ski. There were no woods too deep, no ice too thin, and no slopes too steep, for him to enjoy. He was a hot rod at heart and a firecracker in spirit, there was always something new sparking his interest. Bob was very proud of his four daughters, they were very special and unique to him in their own way.Those who met him, remembered him. Those who knew him, honored him.Those who worked with him, trusted him.Those who loved him, adored him.He is survived by his loving wife Kelley whom he married on December 29, 1990 in Monmouth, four daughters, Carrie Gagne of Springvale Village, Heather Gagne of Sabattus, Katie St Michel of Monmouth, and Chelsey St Michel of Monmouth; a grandson, Jackson Duhon of Sabattus; four sisters, Gail and her husband Kevin Trenberth of Colorado, Billie Dube of NH, Helen and her husband Rob Robilliard of So. Paris, Laurie and her husband Shawn Newhall of Harrison; a grandmother Mareguerite St Michel of Gardiner; father and mother in law Robert and Helen (Chenard) LaPointe of Monmouth; a brother in law Rodney LaPointe of Auburn; one uncle Donald "Pete" and his wife Estelle St. Michel of Topsham; three aunts Marge lambert of Augusta, Linda and her husband Howard Kelly of Texas, and Nancy and her husband Richard Clary of Gardiner, many nieces, nephews, and cousins St. Michel- Died in Monmouth August 10, 2007. Robert O. Jr. age 47, a resident of Monmouth. Memorial services will be held Friday August 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
