Betty Gunter

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Betty Spradley Gunter, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Convent Baptist Church, 787 Convent Church Road, Leesville, SC 29070 with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Mrs. Gunter was born May 8, 1946 in Lexington County and passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Lee Vernon Spradley and Corine Rish Spradley. She was a member of Convent Baptist Church. Mrs. Gunter retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. She loved her family and was loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Gunter is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Henry D. Gunter; son, H. David Gunter, II and his wife, Toni and their children, Lindsey, Henry and Ellie, son, Michael Wayne Gunter and his wife, Amy and their children, Tyler, Ethan and Jacob; brother, Hoyt Spradley (Mary) and sister, Reba Hollis (Roger). She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Julius O. Spradley, L. V. Spradley and Billy Spradley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to music ministry at Convent Baptist Church.
