Bobby Wayne Taylor

GILBERT – Funeral services for Bobby Wayne Taylor, 81, of Gilbert, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Lexington with interment in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Program at First Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor was born August 20, 1934 in Lexington, SC to the late Broadus E. Taylor and Eva Risinger Taylor and passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. He was an Ordained Baptist Minister and owner of Taylor’d Creations. He retired from the Department of Mental Health and enjoyed Bible Study and woodworking. Bobby graduated from Lexington High School and North Greenville College. He also attended William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret Keisler Taylor of Gilbert; daughters, Susan Taylor Edens (Danny) of Gilbert, Donna Taylor Stone (Rodney) of Cayce; grandchildren, Lindsay Zwart Cooper (Chris) of Lexington, Anna Elizabeth Diggins of Cayce; Andrew Taylor Diggins of Denver, CO; great-grandson, Evan Bradley Cooper of Lexington; brother, Harold Taylor (Madene) of Lexington, many nieces and nephews and his dog, Sambo. He was preceded in death by, sister, Gladys Taylor and brother, Ray Taylor. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
