Carolyn joined the Marines right after high school, serving 3 years. She went on to work at Quantico, VA Marine Corp and worked for NASA. She also worked for SC DOT as a right of way agent. She was an avid genealogist. Carolyn loved her family, playing the guitar, skywatching and enjoying nature. She accepted Jesus as her Savior many years ago.
Surviving are her nephews, Greg and Jeff (Caroline) Dyson; great-nephew, Aaron (Norma); great niece, Natalie Dyson; and great-great niece, Madelyn.
Carolyn was predeceased by her sister, Judy Dyson.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229.
