LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Cleo Gardner Burton, 83, of Lexington, SC, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. James Lutheran Church in Summit, SC with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Cleo was born on March 19, 1930 in Leesville, SC to Ernest Craps and Estelle Oswald Craps and passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013.
Cleo attended the Young at Heart as well as the Lexington Senior Center. She worked at Michelin Tire Cafeteria and was a wigger for Horseman Dolls.
Cleo is survived by her 5 children, Paul Gardner, Jr. of West Columbia, SC, Linda Ford, Libby Hoyt and Robert Gardner all of Lexington, SC and Donnie Gardner of Pelion, SC; sister, Rosie Harmon of Gilbert, SC as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Cleo was predeceased by 2 daughters, Laura and Sara Gardner.
