She was the fourth of five children born to Doris Mackay and James Willard Bailey. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1974 and then attended barber school at Kenneth Shuler’s in 1976. As a barber, she met numerous friends that lasted through the years. In 1993, she moved into her home at Harborside where she has spent the last 29 years, making friends, sharing laughter, and creating memories. It was her greatest pleasure to share a sunset on the water with a loved one.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews including, Caine Jeffcoat, Chrissy Bailey Keisler (Tripp), Stacey Bailey Rimer, Chaz Guevara (Lindsey), Mario Guevara, Alycia Guevara, and Judy Roland, as well as great nieces and nephews, Austin Reely, Megan Reely, Lauren Rimer, Ashton Rimer, and one extra special little boy, her great nephew, Brayden Chance. Unnamed are the numerous children and close friends she loved and helped guide throughout their lives.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Doris and Willard; her two loves, Mike Martin and Alan “Al” Bauer, as well as additional family members and loved ones.
