He is survived by his older brother, Bill (Trish); niece, Hanna Mae and nephew, TJ. Elliott is also survived by his fiancé and longtime friend of over 15 years, Carla Buddin Bennet and her two children, Shelby Elizabeth Bennett (Liz) and Tanner Foley Bennett.
Elliott was a Lexington High School graduate who resided most of his life in Lexington County where he enjoyed activities with friends and family on Lake Murray. As a young child, Elliott travelled extensively with his family, even visiting Egypt. The family spent many summers at Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach.
Elliott was known for his superb culinary skills having worked in numerous restaurants and spent 13 years as chief chef at the NCO Club at Fort Jackson.
Elliott fought valiantly battling colon cancer and succumbed to liver failure on August 30, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.
Visitation and services are to be held at St. Martin’s in the Fields, 5220 Clemson Ave, Columbia, SC 29206 on Thursday, September 18th at 11:00 AM. The family will convene for lunch following the service at Golden Corral, 5300 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29206.
In lieu of flowers, Elliott wished to have donations made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Ln, Columbia, SC 29210.
