

LEXINGTON - Felton passed away quietly, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He succumbed to pneumonia at East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Lexington Baptist Church in Lexington, SC. Visitation with the family will follow at the church.
Felton was born July 4, 1925, to Loyce and Felix Sisk. Felton attended the public schools in Columbia and the University of SC. He served in the Navy Air Force in WWII. He retired from Sears after 32 years of service. He served as a Sunday School teacher for men’s classes for 50 years. Through the years, he served as a deacon, usher, and Training Union Director. At Lexington Baptist Church, Felton started a daily telephone-update, reporting members in the hospital and other prayer needs. He also worked with the Gideons Ministry for many years. Felton’s faith was very important to him, and his family finds great comfort in knowing he is in heaven with his heavenly Father, and has no more suffering or pain. For 10 years, Felton volunteered as a Victims’ Advocate for the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Bouknight Sisk; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Barbara Gainey (Steve) of Kennesaw, GA, Sharon Mills (Dr. Richard Mills) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Felicia Sisk of Columbia; step-sister, Sara Harwell (Gordon); sister-in-law, Ann Sisk Whitten (Ervin); step-brother, Bobby Sisk; and beloved grandchildren, Erin and Matthew Gainey, Christopher (Carley) and Tommy Mills and Tiffany Mills Thompson (Kirby).
