Born on July 25, 1952, he was raised in Jersey City NJ and was the son of Maureen Oates Pascale and Oreste John Pascale. George was a hardworking and conscientious entrepreneur. At the age of 18 he had his own tow truck service and then became one of the youngest bar owners in NJ at the age of 19. He ran Mr. Gs Tavern in the Greenville section of Jersey City for 12 years. “True Story”. During that time, he was married to his loving wife Marybeth Ford Pascale and father to Georgie and Mark. After selling the Bar he went to work for Bestway Electric where he worked for 27 years before retiring to the lake in Gilbert, SC. George was an avid hunter, boater and loved taking his dogs Fuzzy and Tomi for rides on the Jet ski.
George is survived by his son, Mark Pascale; his daughter-in-law and wingman, Diane Pascale; 2 grandsons, Colin and Ty Pascale, all from Lexington SC; and his sister, Marie Cassaro of Brigantine NJ; as well as some nieces, nephews and Godchildren
He was predeceased by both of his parents; sister, Deborah Ely; brother, John; son, Georgie and ex-wife, Marybeth. George retired for 13 years on the lake. He battled some health issues but fought like a champ. We often said he had 9 lives and used 15 of them but he kept moving forward. He was so blessed to have a great group of friends and neighbors on “The Point” that helped look after him and kept him well fed. For that we are very grateful as a family for being there for him. He was a tough, loving, loyal guy that loved his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
We will be having a Celebration of life at his home, 3515 Driftwood Point Road, Gilbert, SC 29054 on Sunday November 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will also hold another Celebration of life in NJ at a later date yet to be determined.
