GASTON – A memorial service for Jack W. Cheek, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 107 W. Park Blvd., Ste. 220, West Columbia, SC 29210.
Jack was born January 15, 1942 in Anderson, SC, and passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He was employed by Palmetto Richland Hospital for 18 years and left as Vice President in Administration. He retired from Doctors Care Medical Centers as CEO and also served as Worshipful Master at the Dutch Fork Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Cheek is survived by his wife, Patricia; four children, Brad Cheek (Melissa), Barry Cheek, Sherri Scearce (Donnie) and Jason Cheek; mother, JoAtha Cheek; three brothers, Michael Cheek (Beth), Kenneth Cheek (Sara) and Stephen Cheek (Susan); eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Susie Bennett (Bobby). He was predeceased by his father, Jesse Cheek.
