Mr. Diaz-Albertini is survived by his wife of 49 years, Vicky Maria Albertini and daughters, Erika Siegel (Scott) and Christina Thurman (William). He was predeceased by daughter, Lisa Marie Albertini.
George was a devoted husband and an amazing, loving father to his three daughters. As a dad, he instilled a strong sense of family commitment and responsibility to his children. Family was the ultimate team, and you could often hear him rally his troops with the phrase "Operation Cooperation". He was a committed family man who loved nothing more than to spend time with his loved ones. He especially loved his role as "Papi" to his 4 grandchildren, and they brought enormous joy to his life.
George worked in retail management his whole life, including as a district manager who oversaw a huge Southeast expansion of Office Depot when the company was in its infancy. George knew the value of hard work and enjoyed the challenge and problem solving opportunities that retail management provided.
Those who knew and loved George also knew him as the ultimate sports fan. A perfect day usually involved a lot of ESPN and, on Sundays, an opportunity to watch his beloved Raiders play.
George will be loved and missed forever by his family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
